A picture should help clarify things.

I just added this to the store.

What is shown is a cutaway view of the gas block, barrel and gas tube.

The port is not shown in the picture, but it screws into the larger section between the barrel and gas tube.

If they were available, I'd be all over it.

I might see if The RifleSmith can tap my fixed FSB and fab me one of those.

Esentially copying Clint's idea... it'd seem that a 316 SS socket set screw tapped into the gas entry way of the FSB and then center-reamed to .072 or some such would work?

It oughtta. I've been successful with a similar approach.

Maybe make 3-4 screws with say .055, .062, .078 or so and put your fsb back on with one taper pin lightly tapped in--- try the sizes for function until your'e there, then lock 'er down. I would not bother to LocTite the set screw in-- it's not going anywhere. Might be nice to maybe be able to get it out some day.

I like this idea. Wish I would have thought of it when I had a slightly over-gassed 13.7"

A much more direct approach to mitigating gas issues than using things like heavier buffers. Very neat

    Exactly!

Gas drive is the final thing that should be adjusted after buffer weight and spring force are set.

I'll turn these on for ordering.

I'm thinking a three size kit with tap would be the way to go.

The consensus size plus a size larger and smaller to cover variations.

Specific sizes will take a few days to get made up.

    Yeah, no need for loctite.

The screw is captured by the barrel and gas tube.
