Exactly why I went from EO Tech's which I liked, to Aimpoint T1's.

Different strokes. The battery life of my Eotechs has met my needs. It gives plenty of warning and between the grip and the stock I could store several extra batteries (one is plenty). I can see how the longer battery life of an Aimpoint might be important in some applications but for me it's a mere convenience and something that has played a very minor role in my choice of optic.

    I'm completely convinced of this.

I guess it depends on the intended use. Even the small Eotechs are good for 600 hours, or 75 days figuring 8 hours of use every day.

For a combat operator, maybe not sufficient. For recreational use or HD, seems sufficient for that. The Eotechs turn off after 4 or 8 hours, so a dead battery is less of an possible occurrence in my view.

The downside is you gotta turn it on first.

    X2

How long does the battery in your light last?? Never hear that complaint.

For me the reticle on the eotech trumps battery life concern. If it goes down it goes down. Roll with it.
