Colt is always good. Both of my LMT 10.5" guns have been great. Centurion Arms CHF barrels have been extremely accurate and what I'd like next. I don't have enough experience with Daniel Defense, but I'm sure they're very good as well.
Proven combat techniques may not be flashy and may require a bit more physical effort on the part of the shooter. Further, they may not win competition matches, but they will help ensure your survival in a shooting or gunfight on the street. ~ Paul Howe

If you buy anything now, you will more than likely over pay. You just need to get a barrel...even if it's a 16" or longer barrel...you could always have it chopped. Barrels are easy to get.

I love the LMT mrp and run one myself in the 10.5in. Balances very well. Not as light as some of the other but nice. I would also love to have one of the 6933 Colt uppers as well as a DD or noveske.

The shooter in CT didn't use an AR-15!

To my knowledge he did not use an AR. It was found in his vehicle, last I heard. He used two pistols. The anti's are gonna have a big fight in congress if they try to push any legislative action through. We all need to stick together and support the NRA.

Cheers and Merry Christmas to all,
    Marc

He did, a Bushmaster. The weapon found in his car was a semi-auto shotgun of some type, maybe a Saiga.
This isn't an illegal gun, it's an "undocumented protection device". Don't be so insensitive.

This is what's in stock and cheapest at BCM, and it already has a rail installed.
