Is the "panic" affecting your plans?

Like many, I keep 1000 or more of some calibers on hand, and the supplies to reload 2 or more times that on hand.

I try to get to a match with my son at least once a month. That means at least a couple hunded of at least one caliber depending on what type we do. Not even counting testing a new load, project, or optic.

There was already a supply issue with some things related to election time. The past week's panic has altered prices and availability even more.

This has me reconsidering some events for now.

I've looked at going to Rimfire division at the Multigun matches. 500 rounds would get me about 5 months of matches.

Just need a holster and mag pouches for a Buckmark or P22 and some mag pouches for the Ruger 25 rounders for a 10/22.

Yeah, was thinking about doing an IDPA match this weekend, but now wondering if I should conserve my ammo. I don't really have a huge amount stocked, so might be better off to hold onto it till we how things unfold. I like to think that it will end up being another unfounded panic, but this time seems like it has a bit more likelihood for something to happen.

I was in the middle of putting together an AR for 3 gun when this all hit. I've finally got it all ordered from places that showed to have it in stock. But it's tough looking for anything.

I was gonna get some ammo and mags after Christmas but everyone got scared and took everything. Even the cheap stuff.

I planned to get the ammo and mags after Christmas for a couple months. That back fired and I won't be able to pick up anything for a while.

I lived through the last ban and as a result have always had a surplus of mags, ammo on hand. The only things I purchased because of the possible ban is another R&R 20 round Saiga mag and some parts to complete another AR lower. I already had a JP upper on order before the shooting so that was not because of a possible ban just a planned purchase.

Only thing that it has ****ed up here is that I can't find ammo in common calibers without people wanting two to four times what its worth. 5.56 at 1-3 dollars a round, 9mm $18+, .45ACP is about the same though and there isn't any .22lr to be bought. Still have plenty on hand though I need more 9mm and will order a case as soon as it comes in from one of my local dealers. Mags I am not too bad off on though I also subscribed to you can never have enough, but I am not pay $100+ for a ****ing Pmag local.
