In my most humble opinion, there a few things that can and/or will help us greatly through this mess.

    1) Companies that take back orders. Cabelas will do that for SPP. Thank God. There are a lot of things I hate about Cabelas, but I love this.

    2) I hereby suggest that someone who's more savvy in the social media arts than I start a "Buy Half" campaign. Until this blows over, I suggest that we buy no more than 1/2 of the stock of ammo, primers, etc.

Part of the problem is there's a limited supply due to hoarding and people see empty shelves. Then when we see some product, we want to buy it all, and the next guy sees empty shelves and the cycle continues. If we buy only 1/2, there's more to go around, and it would reduce the panic. If that sounds socialist, I apologize, but I think it will help.

Lastly, and I hope this is a good sign, a Walmart near me had a lot of 9mm WWB yesterday, and no quantity restriction (and yes, I bought less than 1/2).

I'm going to be all the more vigilant at the range to pick up brass, been stopping at tire shops to pick up wheel weights, and giving the Ruger .22's a LOT of attention. But I'm not going to let this stuff get me down, actually going to step up into IDPA and try to introduce more new shooters into gun ownership and Fudds into real gun ownership and activism. It's go big or go home, and I'm not up for giving up.

Was able to get a 500 round box of Sierra 69 grain Match kings from Midway last night. But now there gone. Very hit or miss.

    No, you are being prudent.

Maybe offer to load reduced levels for them, if at all. Everyone has to adapt to restricted inventories and they should be thrilled if you are willing to part with ANY supplies at all. Even if they are paying you I think it is generous to do that for them. If you don't provide anything at all that is just taking care of your own, like we all should have as first priority.

This is partly why prices are so high. Individuals and dealers that have stock to sell have no clue when it will be replaced and are only willing to part with what they have in hand at a steep price. So you can either ration the ammo at a normal price or offer it at a steep price and the buyers will chose their own ration level.

For a million bucks I am willing to part with several thousand rounds of components from my supplies. For $.50/rd or less, probably not a single round. Haven't given much thought to anything in between, but somewhere in between would be the balance point of a price I would be willing to part ammo with and someone willing to pay.

Not really going to slow me down other than the fact that I will be mindful of not "wasting" ammo just playing around plinking instead of running productive drills/practice. I will save the plinking for range time with my son and use .22's.

I did not take the son to a match the other week,
but heard they had a bigger than usual turnout.

I have no issues with guys buying a ton to stock up in case there are dry times ahead.

But, I think a bunch of people have bought a ton of stuff just to flip if they get a chance to make a buck.

I have seen some WSP magnum primers, but not WSP regular ones in a while.

Huge dent in pistol shooting. I wouldn't say I am unprepared--I'm just at my "safety limit" already

Doing a lot more rimfire and shotgun. Was going to introduce my son to IDPA. Not gonna happen right now.
