What if a "AWB" really made the books?

The following is just a hypothetical question of what alternative long gun choices there would be if a really restrictive AWB came into existence.

Now we know what items the anti-gunners wish to ban such as,

    Muzzle Breaks
    Flash Hiders
    Bayonet Lugs
    Pistol Grips
    Thumb Hole Stocks
    Button type/Lever type Magazine Release
Any Magazine Larger Then 10 rounds
No Grandfathering of existing AR's, AK's, FAL's, ETC with the evil features unless they were converted to comply with the restrictions.

What would left on the long gun market rifle wise that could be used as a defensive rifle that fits all the requirements of the AWB.

The only thing I could think of off the top of my head was the M-1 Garand and the SKS with the flash hider and Bayo removed.

Now if we got by without the Button type/Lever type Magazine Release restriction then the Saiga Sporter Model AK-47 with original 10rd magazines would also fit the bill.

Now Remember this is only a "What If" question and is not meant to start a "They will have to pry the rifle from my cold dead hands" fest.

Good choice I completely forgot about the rifle that won the west.

I'd have my 870 and 1100, then I'd invest in learning to shoot with .308 rifles.

Definitely a lever-action, until they were banned too

Before the five round capacity limit in NYC I would have had an Enflield No.4 or SMLE there. Troops were trained to fire them so fast, the Germans often thought they were fighting machine gun crews.

First off it will be much worse than the one in 94'. Feinstein and crew have been working on this one since '04 and they won't leave out anything this time around.

    Something like this . . .

"In a nut shell, if it ever goes to Civil War, I'm afraid I'll be in the middle 70%, shooting at both sides" — 26 Inf

"We have to stop demonizing people and realize the biggest terror threat in this country is white men, most of them radicalized to the right, and we have to start doing something about them." — CNN's Don Lemon 10/30/18
