6920 Question

I just bought a nib Colt 6920 and noticed the front hand guard is a bit loose. It seems that the delta ring turns slightly and if it were not for the gas tube it might turn all the way around. Is this normal?

The only thing that prevents the delta ring and the forward hanguard cap from rotating freely is the gas tube.

And friction.

Is there anyway to tighten the ring/grips up? I also have 2 6520's and their grips are very solid,no movement.

It seems I figured out the problem. The factory grips that came on the rifle seem to be a bit short,and the do not engage the delta ring enough to put the right amount of presure on it. I tried another set of hand guards I had from a previous rifle and they fit fine with no movement at all. Problem solved.........
