Need some input on an LMT 10.5 running a suppressor

I have a factory LMT 10.5 waiting on the stamp, and I would like to add a suppressor.

    My goals with the gun.

    1. It will go to my young son in a few years.
    2. It will primarily be used for training and hunting.
    3. The suppressor will be ran 90% of the time, and 100% of the time if we ever pass a law in GA allowing hunting with a suppressor.

I am looking for input in 2 areas - gas blowback and the suppressor.

    Gas blowback
In order to reduce the gassing, I was thinking of skipping a switchblock and going with the following setup.

    1. BCM charging handle with the RTV trick
    2. Seekins Precision low pro adjustable gas block
    3. AR Gas Vent

Does that sound like a solid plan? Any suggestions or changes? I am looking for the easiest install that will elimimate the most gas blowback.

    Suppressor
I am thinking about a 30 caliber suppressor (AAC Mini7) which I know will also help with the gas blowback. I run AKs, and I already have a an AAC Blackout Flash Hider threaded 1/2 x 28 with a 30 cal bore so I can also use it on my Krebs AK and my 308 bolt. I will also probably add a Seekins Precision 9" Mod Quad Rail.

Since the can will primarily run on the LMT SBR, I was more concerned about size and length, but I am looking for any suggestions here as well.

Sorry to be long-winded and thanks in advance for the help.

I run the older SPR/M4 and have not noticed much blowback on short barrels (12.5").

Some of my rifles have Gas Buster charging handles and some have RTV modded CH.

I'd say the type of suppressor will play a role too.

Been running factory LMT 10.5 with surefire 556-212 for about 3 yrs. It has been great. No issues. At the time, I went with the PRI gasbuster and it has been fine but overpriced with many options on the market now. Never had a problem with gas blowback.

VLTOR A5 system with 5.1 oz. buffer. LMT Enhanced carrier. Charging handle doesn't really matter. I'm gonna order an AXTS Raptor soon because it's ambi.

Hit up Clint for one of these: (for a 10.5-11.5'' you wanna look into the .058-.062'' gas port range)

I run my LMT 10.5 mrp with a thunder beast ba30 so that I can switch it back and fourth with my other rifles. I use a bcm mod 4 charging handle and don't have much if any blow back problems. Seems to work well. I have only had a couple of failures to fire out of a couple of thousand rounds so far. I know some of my reloads aren't always the best ever.

If you are in GA, Clyde Armory had a few SF 556 cans instock the other day for under a grand FWIW. I understand the jack of all trades approach, but the truth of the matter is most end up with dedicated cans for guns. I like SF cans. A little RTV goes a long way in helping blow back and is cheap.

Ok thinks for all the info. It sounds like I should just try running it first to see how it does. And the RTV would be one easy thing to try.

The most recent GF charging handles gave their own ridge to combat blowback.
