Actually it is possible and I there were two incidents of it happening. And for the record I also saw a few LMT bolts that were jacked up and would allow the same thing.

This isn't possible so I don't see how you could put the bolt in the wrong way. Also you can't adjust the trigger on the SR15. Maybe these things are different on the SR16 I have never handled one of those. One thing id have to agree on its a pain having to have special tools to remove the rail.

Bolt backwards and fired. That would look interesting to see in person. Is the sr-15s gas system similar to a mid length? I'm not too familiar with the kac internals

I think the gas system is between a mid-length and rifle length system.

KAC is expensive, but I'm planning on ordering an SR15 LPR thru High Caliber Sales in the near future.

I grew up with parents who didn't have much money, so we always it the cheapest option and had to replace it when it broke 6 months later and they ended up spending more than they needed to when all was said and done.

So, as an adult I've always bought quality things; Moen faucets, SA 1911s a BCM middy and (soon) a KAC LPR.

I don't see what's so interesting about. You can read about it in the thread that was posted on the technical threads. This was why his weapon wouldn't extract an eject properly.

Pricey for what you get. Colt, BCM or Daniel Defense is more gun for less $$$$.

I can't see the value in KAC.Larue or Noveski. They were the hot brands for the tacticool crowd a few years back.

I paid less for my new sr15 mod1 than what the BCM Jack costs.

I didn’t find price all that different for a complete lower (KAC came with the SOPMOD stock and match trigger) I do not need to go out and buy a Geissele trigger until the KAC breaks. Adding a SOPMOD and Geissele trigger would have been right at the same price point for a BCM lower (BCM was also sold out 3 weeks ago).

IMHO the best is a mix of a KAC lower with a Daniel Defense, BCM, AAC or Noveske upper. I have some southpaws in the family and having the KAC being stock ambi was a big selling point.

I own 2 KAC lowers (bought Dec. 8th right before prices went crazy!.... the same lower sold for $500.00 more than what I paid for 3 weeks ago!)

I went with other company uppers for the exact reasons mentioned (proprietary parts etc.). For the record I also have a BCM lower that has also been flawless…. But the KAC stock trigger is world’s better than the BCM stock trigger.
