Be careful there. I once witnessed someone shoot an electric transmission line conductor in half with a 243, from over a half a mile. He put most of western North Carolina in the dark for more than a day. For the record the shot was completely accidental and the hapless shooter is dead for more than 10 years now. You damn sure don't want to cut that transmission line.

New 6.8spc owner, Help with ammo selection
No doubt. That was at the 1000yd line and the transmission lines are at least another 1000 beyond. Not sure hitting them is possible given the range rules of .300 WM and less. Something to note for sure.
