The 170gr CF bullet from Lehigh Defense has a very interesting feature. It is a machined brass bullet with a .17 caliber bullet pressed into its hollowpoint. I couldn't wait to test these.

This factory loaded round came up a little short on velocity from my Handi Rifle (798.5fps avg), but Lehigh wanted me to test it anyway. I think this would make a good coyote round as is, but it would be interesting to see what this would do if pushed 200fps faster. They would also do a number on a deer's neck, if that is a shot you're comfortable taking.

Note that machined brass bullets are especially sensitive to variations in bore diameter because they don't extrude the same as copper or lead. So, what I saw for accuracy or velocity is more likely to be different for other barrels than conventional bullets.
