Just b/c you have a lower does not mean it is grandfathered. Last ban stated the lower had to have an upper on it to be GTG.

That's info I was unaware of. However, it seems impossible to enforce, short of BATF immediately inspecting each individual who owns a lower for compliance whenever the ban was implemented. But, I guess that's typical nonsense legislation.

People are definitely going nuts! I just got 685 bucks for an LMT lower! That did include a very nice Troy QD mount, KNS anti-walk pins, and a 1 point sling though. Still, not worth it. I still cleared way over 200 bucks profit!

I am trying to trade the Spikes upper it was attached to for 8 sr25 style pmags and ammo, but I need to try to talk to the guy again. See if he is still down. If not, I'll just sell the upper minus the BCG and charging handle.

There is going to shortages for a while. If you want to take that bet then go for it. I wouldn't.

Say you've already got a couple of lowers and wanted to get a couple more uppers, wouldn't it make sense to avoid all the frenzy and wait it out and get upper receivers, barrels, bcg's, bolts, etc., when they are more readily available from retailers and not being price gouged from individuals that are actually willing to sell right now?

That was possibly in true in theory, but it would be almost impossible to prove. And the burden would be on them to prove otherwise.

Supply will probably catch back up with demand in April, at least it did in my area after the 08 election frenzy. However, dealers didn't drop prices until sometime in the summer of that year. This is assuming no new significant gun control legislation passes.

I purchased a couple LPK's from Surplus Ammo when I realized they were saying they had it in stock but wouldn't be able to ship it for at least 4-6 weeks. After some correspondence with them, I realized they were ripping us off by doubling the price of the kit and told them to shove it up their butts.. They are on my list of no business from me, taking advantage of their customers at a time like this says much about their business ethics, not how I would run my business. I would have the guy answering emails, taking inventory or shipping parts... then he wouldn't need to answer emails..

People hoard Bolt Carrier Groups for some reason.

Some dude here had 5 extra sitting on his bench last panic incident.

If people put half the effort they do in hoarding into fighting stupid gun laws, these ****tard politicians wouldn't dare propose a thing.
