NEW Vortex PST 2.5-10x32 FFP

Just what I have been waiting for. I will be buying one of these for my m1a.

Different reticle, probably not FFP, MOA adjustments, no zero-stop turrets. I am thinking that is the price difference, but I could be way off.

Honestly, it just depends on your needs. I'm using mil/mil on on my optics, just to cut down on the math.

I just have the one Vortex scope I mentioned above. So it's a sample of one, etc.

no, you can get mil or moa reticle, but it appears slightly different and I think I prefer the 2.5-10x32...

however it is SFP, not FFP. and it lacks the side parallax adjustment. might be the $200 difference but not interested at this point...

Unless I missed something the 2.5-10x44 is the same Second Focal Plane version that's been out for some time. I was not impressed with the glass on the one I looked through at a match last spring - certainly usable, but the image/brightness was much darker than my NF 2.5-10x32.

Sample of one and all that of course. My "perception", from what I've read on Snipers Hide is the glass quality can vary somewhat in the PST line. The exception is the 6-24 power, which gets near universal favorable comments on glass quality - at least in it's price range.

you're right, this is a SFP. I didn't pick up on that before as it looked so similar and I'm not familiar with Vortex offerings. sucks about the variable glass quality but being a FFP I'm hoping the 32mm will be one of the "better" quality ones...

the 44mm also lacks the side parallax adjustment but it does come with a shade!

I bought a Vortex Viper PST 4-16 FFP mil/mil scope from Scott at Liberty Optics. Excellent service and he had the best price of any place I looked.

I did. Very nice scope. I really like it. Reticle looked good to me in whole range. But I do like my Viper PST 1-4x24 as well, so I might be biased. Plus there was really no conditions to really make good assessment of any scope in show booths.

it's nice that this is offered but I see that this is also offered in 2.5-10x44. comparing the 2 looks like the 44mm version is .8" shorter, $200 cheaper, and includes a sunshade. and it's available now

There is generally a $200 uptick in price across Vortex's line when going to FFP over SFP.
