Was the reticle was bold enough to pick up quickly on the lowest power setting? This is the new FFP version, correct? Were there any other aids in that regard such as a heavy outside duplex or just the center cross-hair?

All my experience comes from playing at Vortex booth, while waiting for meeting, so take it with grain of salt.

Reticle is not as quick as TMCQ reticle in 1-4x but it was OK (providing it was not designed for fast acquisitions). There are 3 reasonably thick posts on 3, 6 and 9 o'clock. Is is geared toward speed? Not really, but with highest illumination it can be OK at 2.5x setting. For me, this kind of scope is great for light DMRish rifle in intermediate calibre (I would gladly put it on my HK MR223 for example), but also can be very good hunting scope for countries that limit legal hunting distance (like Poland). Can't tell about night performance.

Interested in one of these for my RECCE heavy (MWS).

I had a chance to handle a friends 4-16x Viper PST and I was impressed with the overall quality for the price.
Good judgment comes from experience. And experience… well, that comes from poor judgment.

Very cool. Currently running a nightforce on my auto, but have wanted a ffp scope for it. Going to have try this out when it comes out.

I'm certainly interested - I've already got the Leupy Mk4 in the same mag range, but if this comes out in a good Mil/Mil format, that's a hard setup to beat.

I am very interested in this model as well. Hopefully this glass will be on par with the rest of Vortex's offerings. I have quite a few Vortex optics, and the glass in every one of them is well above the actual price tag.

Where did you find one? I did't think they were released yet.
