Yep, unless you could find yourself needing more than 10 rounds.

Sounds like somebody has never been perched on top of a stack of hay bales taking out prairie dogs. I've easily fired more than fifteen rounds. Just because you have never found yourself in need of more than five rounds hunting doesn't mean that nobody else has.

Personal choice. Go with what works for you. If you don't want a quad rail with every attachment known to man, then don't. It does you no harm when someone else does.

There are few tools here. I have been reading for quite some time and most folks here are knowledgeable and helpful folks that want to advance the M4 community as a whole. That said, the same tool that doesn't get why you would want ten round magazines when a thirty rounder can simply be loaded with ten, may be the same guy capable of answering a question about a weapon failure or part compatibility. Do you really want to alienate anyone with your sixth post?

Thank you to all those who have replied. Don't get me wrong, I read a few posts and came to conclusions. Noob mistake I suppose. Either way, I am here to learn, ask questions, and be set straight.

Not familiar with ARFCOM, that's fun to say, but I'm glad to hear this is not like another forum.

No, I haven't spent time on a bale of hay shooting prairie dogs but I'd like to! Better than paper targets, at least!

Don't want to alienate myself either, so all replies are welcome and no matter how much you may want to patronize me, I will not be offended.

Once again, I want to learn and I appreciate ALL comments, negative or positive.

SylntSleepr, do not post in this thread again. If you haven't figured out, since the middle of 2012, that the forum membership pretty clearly and overwhelmingly trends toward those that favor function over form, you need to stop posting and read a LOT more.

Particularly if you're only gonna derp a post that adds nothing to the topic AND broadly displays your own blatant bias, then compound having said something dumb with the hypocricy of blathering about your hope for a lack of bias in other members.

Following it with a string of lame excuses doesn't make it better. Make whatever excuses you wish, just please make them to yourself, without typing anything.

Thanks for the reply, I know that you will miss the place that is Boulder, I lived in the PRB for a few years when I got out of the army. Mountain Biking, hiking, hunting, fishing, skiing in Colorado were top notch if you can avoid the hippies... Rhumba, the West end, Zolo grill, The foundry with its roof top deck and the Walnut Brewery were the places to go back then.

I've still not received a call or email from Fitz to let me know my start date as CEO. I'm chomping on the bit to hand out a few Pink slips.

Totally understand the delays with the Boulder airlift going on and all, but having just moved behind enemy lines (to CA), I was really looking forward to getting a bunch of 10 rd pmags.

I currently have nothing in the way of magazines since my 15/20/30 rounders didn't arrive with me.

The fixed carbine stock still looks appealing. I have the MOE rifle stock on a project right now that is at a standstill due to parts unavailability, seems like a nice piece of kit.

I'd like to see more stocks for the 870 platform. I want a magpul but the 870 MOE is butt-ugly.
