I run several comps. I don't figure I'm a comp guru, but I've run BattleComp, Rainiers RMC, and am currently running a Z-comp.
I'm talking about all the silly springs and carrier gimmicks that maybe entirely appropriate for the competition realm... but newer AR shooters get tempted to start monkeying with that in a defense gun.

comps=competition. Like.. . . . what you said in what I quoted you.
Oh... I've gone out to the matches here to check em out. Not my thing. I'm more talking about the specific mods/gear in the ARs.
My point being that you don't want to model a tactical gun after something with a Tubbs flat wire spring and a bunch of JPenterprises stuff installed.

I'm not seeing anything anywhere in this thread where someone is sugjesting they want to or have done that. In fact, the first couple posts made it clear this was for a competition rifle.
That Spike's BCG is "The Bomb"! That's the coolest, hottest, fastest BCG I've ever seen. Pair that up with a fully dimpled URG and a fully ported LRG, top it off with ported Pmags and I'm going to smoke the competition. I mean the grass!![]()
I've been outbid on 26 BCGs or Carriers on Gunbroker over the last 4 days.
I need a carrier and am willing to pay up money....just not Tard money.

Small price to pay to be able to see the spider on your buffer through the ejection port![]()
