Benelli M2 Tactical--Need advice on mag extensions and Pad

Hey guys,

So, in my latest waste of cash, I traded my 870 in on a Benelli M2 tactical. It is set up exactly the way I like it (pistol sights, conventional stock). But I want two things.

1. I want a mag extension. It has a 5+1 cap now. I want an extension that fits flush to the end of the 18.5 inch barrel or close.

2. I want a shorter but pad. I understand it is a pain in the butt to shorten this stock. But it looks like it could fit a shortter butt pad. Any chance these are availible? I don't have the "comfort tech" stock.

First, have you researched 922r compliance? In short, when you go over 5rds on a Benelli, you need to be aware of US parts count. Check out sites like freedom fighter tactical / Brian Enos / etc, but in short with an M2, you need to swap 2 parts from a short list of parts.

I put a Benelli factory +2 extention on and swapped my stock for a Mesa Tactical and a US made follower for my 2 parts. Realize the tube is a "part" but to make it count as a US part, you need to swap the whole tube, an extention made in the US doesn't count.

I got the MESA for my M2T. Totally transformed the handling. Night and day. Dang thing felt like I was shouldering a crutch from the wrong end all the time, lol. It renewed my love for my M2.

I am not a big fan of pistol grips. I was just going to shorten the std stock.

Since my gun doesn't have the evil pistol grip can't I just add the extension?

Check out Nordic Components for a mag tube extension. I'm waiting for mine to come out of backorder for my Nova.

Would the Mesa stock count towards it?

It looks like you have to replace 3 parts to bring it into compliance. People like to add the US made follower and extension, US Stock and maybe a surefire forend. The last time I owned a Benelli you could have the pistol grip or the extension. But apparantly some dumbass sent a letter to the ATF and asked again.
