No, because the "Hunting and Sporting" clause in the EO from the '89 Import Ban defines non-sporting shotguns as being able to accept 5+ rounds, regardless of cosmetic features.

    RHINO,

Would you prefer the cheeck riser over one without, does it make that big of a difference.

I could go either way on the cheek riser.

    Yes.

And a US extention doesn't count, since it's doesn't completely replaced the tube. Hence you need a full US tube.

And you need to replace 2 parts on an M2.

I'm in a simular situation as Greg.

I just purchased a Benelli M2 Tactical with Comfort Tech stock (standard stock, not the pistol grip version ... and I don't want to put a Mesa Tactical stock on the gun) and I want to put an extended magazine tube on the gun.

What parts could I change to bring the M2 into compliance?

Anyone have any input on the Nordic vs. the DMW extended magazine tubes?

    Thanks

I have the DMW tube and like it , fits flush with end of barrel .
Without changing the butt stock you will need to replace 3 items like follower , hammer and there a couple of different ways to go. I would suggest going to Freedom Fighter tactical website they have all the info and items you will need to complete your build.
    Good Luck,

The follower, forend, full magazine tube, and the stock are the most common parts for 922r compliance on a M2.

Remember a magazine extension doesn't count because it doesn't replace the original Italian magazine tube.

Letters I've seen and research indicate that you need to swap two parts on the M2, vice 3 or 4 on the M4 (depending on the stock).

Follower is a no brainer, FFT makes a replacement handguard exactly like the OEM, and there are stock and tube options out there as well.

From what I understand, you can only have 10 imported parts. The parts that I'm aware of that are 922r compliant include:

    Stock
    Forend
    Follower
    Trigger
    Bolt
    Bolt assembly
    Disconnector

I also have the M2 Tactical with a regular stock (not a pistol grip). I ended up replacing two items:

The follower, by GG&G stainless magazine follower
The forend, by freedom fighter tactical

The only other forend available for the M2 that is made in the USA is a Surefire forend with a light. The polymer version is made in the USA. The steel version is not. That's over a $400 option.

The following do not help with the 922r:

I ended up getting a Dave's Metal Works extension to give me 7+1. It came with its own spring.
I also bought the extended bolt release.
I attached the GG&G quick release sling mounts.
    I added a recoil pad (Limbsaver 10401).
I use the Blue Force Vicker's Sling
I have a Mesa Tactical Side Saddle/Rail ordered but it is on Backorder.

Nordic was on Backorder when I was working on my shotgun. DMW was in stock and it shipped out quickly.

Just to let you know, the factory spring doesn't work with the extension.

Nice work. I have since removed my Mesa Tactical stock and went back to the Italian regular stock - I had to remove the magazine extension temporarily but really like the feel of the regular stock (non-confortech, sadly) until I received a FFT fore end for 922r parts count.

If anyone wants a good deal in a Mesa M2 stock, let me know, I just prefer the regular stock on my M2.

If one uses the Mesa Stock, then do they need to replace 3 parts?

The comfortech kicked like a damn mule with 3" magnums. I did 9 rounds. It didn't hurt afterwards but it hurt each time I fired her. I then bought the Limbsaver to save myself from the discomfort.
