    which rds mount????

    Hi Group,
I am ready to get a rds for my DDM4v2. I am really torn between the Aimpoint Comp M4s w/ LaRue Tactical QD Mount or the Aimpoint PRO. I am kinda leaning toward the PRO as everyone here seems to rave on it and it is cheaper. I am going to order from LaRue. The comp4s has two heights: Medium for NV and Standard for the AR. The PRO has four mount options. What's a noobie to do? I don't know anyone to get guidance. Any input would be much appreciated.

    Thanx, nod

This has been previously discussed ad nauseam, but...
Most users for most applications will find that the PRO is going to do everything they need and then some, using the supplied QRP2 mount. At $400 it's about the best buy available in a duty-ready RDS package.

Sorry about that. I spent a pretty fair amount of time looking a old posts but didn't figure it out. Where do you get the pro for that price and mount? I already figured the QRP2 would do the job. I am looking at Larue. The sight is $420.00 but the QRP2 mount doesn't seem to be a option. Whoops I see it comes with the OEM mount. I am spending way to much time wasting money on this damn rifle. Thanx Eric for taking the time to help.

Most places are out of stock, but I did find these (note: the one from SWFA is a few dollars more, but they're a known - at least to me - dealer):

The mount that comes with the pro is gtg, but if you change it out to a Larue you won't regret it.

I ended up ordering for LaRue. I obviously can't search very good either as goggle did not find those sites. I can always go back and order the LaRue if I have too.

Thanx for all the help (I really need it ). As of late, I have been doing the handgun thing. One good think about the possible band, my wife is thinking we need the rifle . y2k got me a couple of handguns .

Honestly, for the price of an Aimpoint pro or C3 you can get a gen 1 night vision with IR.

You want a $50 pair of Calvin Klein jeans because everyone thinks they're cool?

Get a couple pairs of Wrangler jeans and a couple good t-bones for the grill.

You can get a very good RDS for a couple hundred bucks.

IMHO, what makes the PRO such a good deal is the fact it includes the mount.

If I didn't intend to use the PRO mount, I'd just pay the extra $5 and get the Comp C3 - and get the 50,000 hour battery life.

    But that's just me, YMMV

Hindsight's a Bitch right? I went with the Pro and then ordered the ADM-68C mount. Looking back i should've gone with the C3 and then bought the mount.

That's exactly what I did. C3 and a Wilcox Mount from Brownells.
