I get the government procurement crap, but don't the Seals get pretty much what ever they want?

I agree. I have NEVER EVER understood why otherwise perfectly knowledgeable and experienced men choose the friggin Eothang?

I've used both Eotech and Aimpoint. I prefer Aimpoint.

You know not of what you speak.... People who don't have to worry about things like budgets (for the most part) choose the EoTech for a reason.

    Speed and Precision.

Its quicker to get on target and the 1 moa dot takes up less real estate than the 2/4moa dot does.

It has a larger screen and there is a larger field of view in the target area. 1/3 cowitness also keeps the irons out of the line of sight.

With a decent mount, it weights like 3 Oz less than a EXPS....which comes with its own RTZ lever mount.

Aimpoints are ****ing wastes of money realitive to the price of other RD's. There is no high tech shit in there, its a simple little dot.

Aimpoint vs Eotech is a Ford and Chevy debate. Get what you like more. I've had both, but prefer Aimpoint.

My home defense ar's run aimpoint simply for battery life. I am however faster on target with my xps eotech I assume due to the reticle. Just my .02$, op already got an aimpoint pro no need to turn this into another aimpoint/eotech debate.

My experience with Eotech 552 in combat zones was horrendous. Shit battery life, battery packs that failed, shitty battery life, etc... I have seen numerous Eohells shit the bed and stop working for unknown reasons.

Aimpoints are much better all the way around. One doesn't need a T1. The PRO works fine and priced right.
