They should just embed a microchip with the manufacture date programmed into it.

You know they've been itching to use those things for SOMETHING...

I wonder how many gang members in NYC woke up the next day and downloaded the mag in their illegal 9mm to 7 rounds?

This is correct. NY is nice enough to know that as an upstanding citizen/gun owner you will comply and just load 7 rounds in your pre-owned 10 round magazine.

Unfortunately the local gun shops wount sell ten rounders now. They are saying that it is now illegal to sell them. I think they are correct on that part, but imagine the guns they had on hold pending the gun permit tag. One shop I spoke with doesn't know what to do except return payment.

WHich is about as much compliance as there going to get in terms of registering "assault weapons"

Or those FFLs could make an effort to get their panties in a bunch and atleast keep the dam mags if their so worried about it and not screw their customers, but I digress.

We can purchase 10 rounders until April 15th. I have 4 on order from stag. I have yet to receive a confirmation, possibly tomorrow since I ordered Friday.

    Bingo.

Anyone thinking of complying with this shit should not own a firearm, because you clearly do not understand the intent behind the 2nd Amendment. If you're going to demonstrate what a little bitch you are, why would you need a firearm? Just surrender. That's what cowards do best.

Being LEO I wouldn't enforce this. Looking forward to see what's going to happen with scotus and the other republicans.

When would law enforcement even be inspecting your legally owned weapon in your house? Never, unless you beat your wife, go crazy, or shoot an intruder. And in all of those situations, if your gun was loaded with 10 rounds I doubt that little baby misdemeanor isn't going to mean much in the grand scheme of things.

However, if someone breaks in and you need to defend yourself, having at least 10 in the mag would be very beneficial to your survival.
