Yep, suppressed sbr; why wouldn't I? Locked into evidence; who cares I can fill out another form and write another couple $200 checks.

Yep... or just fill it out now. Why only own ONE SBR?

Or just pull another one out of the safe.

That's exactly what I use. I have others elsewhere but this is my go-to weapon. After all, what the point of owning it otherwise?

The reason I ask is I would hate to have a $3,000 SBR be taken away into evidence, abused by the collecting officer/lab tester and then sit in a locker for months to years as the trial progresses. I love the idea of using a 9” 300 blackout with a suppressor for home defense, but leaning towards using my 16” unsuppressed or 12 gauge/handgun for home defense.
Replacing a $600.00 handgun or shotgun is easier to stomach than waiting another 6+ months to get another SBR stamp.

    Thoughts?

Yes. Why wouldn't you use a tool for what it was designed?

Yes. I would also beat a mother ****er to death with a solid gold brick if they broke into my house.

I have only 1 SBR, and shortly 1 can once I get the call from the shop.

What weapon to most of us train on the most? I would argue the AR. Further more, what weapon system do most people run lights on? (And if you don't have a light on your "bump in the night" gun...)

Furthermore...my grandmother just got hearing aides and paid over 6k. That is for one individual...how much is your hearing or those of those you love? 4k for a can and SBR becomes relative.

Like others said, use common sense when locking it up, but why spend all that money on training and handicap yourself? I find that to be akin of racing a ferrari, but deciding to only use the rental car.
