Burris MTAC 1-4x24

Has anybody used or have any experience with this scope. I am looking to put it on my AR platform in 5.56. Thanks.

I replaced the more expensive TR24 on my 3-gun rifle with one. The Trijicon glass was a lot better, but I needed a BDC. I like it. I probably wouldn't rely on it if it was a scope for work/my life relied on it...but so far so good.

One distinct downside is that it's not a true 1x so it's a little weird when you're getting used to it.

Thanks for the info. This would just be on my personal weapon so it wouldn't be duty/job related.

Mine swaps back and forth between my 3gun Rifle and my work gun. I'm not nice to my 3gun rifle, and my work gun gets abused even more. Holds zero and no problems.

I went from an acog to the mtac to an h1.

The only complaint I had was that on fast target acquisition drills or shoots the giant red illuminated horseshoe was annoying.

The other one I am looking at is the vortex 1 to 6. But I don't know of I could handle the price tag.

Why did you go from the acog to the burris?

Great scope! I love the reticle as its easy to see and fast up close. Not daytime bright big and bold enough to see with no issues.

BESt scope for the money no doubt. I would have no issue taking it out the door.

Not a fan of the Vortex glass for the money.

Wanted the ability to have 1x as well. I actually ran an acog with an offset h1 and it was great. I was able to get the mtac on a deal and switched over for a bit. It just did not do it for me.

Then I went to the h1 dedicated and have been happy.
