    Question Insight 4C000C-A2 AN/PAQ-4C

What do you guys (gals?) think of these pieces of equipt?

I would find one to be VERY cool..!!! I wonder, what are they
going for; for a NON clone? Why are they not available?
    Are they restricted somehow?

Insight generally deals with MIL/LE only for their IR lasers, not to mention that they are heavily backlogged with supporting GWOT requirements. Some have been sold online, but they are most likely stolen and buying one would be ill-advised. The FDA regulates civilian sales of IR lasers, I bet Grant could give you a more specific set of guidelines.

The PAQ-4 is 15-year old technology and is plagued by zero retention and general durability issues. I would rather have one of the kit lasers if I had to have IR as a civilian.
