I'm lucky in that an average GI trigger doesn't bother me for most shooting....

When we go longer distances though... that SSA is a nice touch.

Honestly I could use a GI trigger and be fine but ever since I went from a stock XDm to my CZ shadow custom a new respect has been found for nice triggers. Lol this new buil I wanted a fast and flat shooter. So I went with the SD3G and it will be my first venture into a "premium" AR trigger.

I have the sd-c for my duty carry gun. It is incredible. You wont be dissapointed.

Slight pull...wall...then clean snap. Easy follow up shots after a quick reset.

I have yet to try anything other than GI and Geissele, but after installing SSA and SSA-E; I don't ahve reason to. First thing I do when building a lower is get a Geissele.

If most of your shooting is inside 50 yards you probably won't see much benefit and your money would be better spent on training and ammo.
Hate to say it but I disagree. The standard trigger I had was terrible. This is the case for many people I suspect.

People will spend $700 on an optic but strugle over $200 for a great trigger. I noticed an immediate difference in accuracy with my SD-C. No doubt that it was money well spent.

I say that a trigger should be the first upgrade. Get the gun running good...then start adding things to look through and hold onto.

Concur with the PPs who endorsed Geissele SSA triggers. For a pure varmint or range toy, you might want something crisp and single stage, but the SSA is easy to control, reliable and durable. They're to be had for $170 if you get a deal; I've seen that price with a gunshow vendor.
Also concur that the trigger is a good place to spend the money upfront. The SSA just makes hitting so much easier, and it can be squeezed off like a precision trigger, or slapped thru' if all you need is a shot right-freakin'-now.

We have an SSA in my lady friends gun. Great trigger.

It ruined the stock triggers I had in my gun for me...

I installed a Geissele SD-E last week in my N6 and have a G2S being delivered today for my carbine. Love them all so far, my spare parts kit just inherited another GI trigger...

Knights also makes an excellent fully adjustable 2 stage combat trigger.
