"Everyone has been given a gift in life. Some people have a gift for science and some have a flair for art. And warriors have been given the gift of aggression. They would no more misuse this gift than a doctor would misuse his healing arts, but they yearn for the opportunity to use their gift to help others. These people, the ones who have been blessed with the gift of aggression and a love for others, are our sheepdogs. These are our warrior"
Let us say a kind word for the 'nonadjustable' aspect of the Geissele. Anything held with a screw means the screw can adjust itself and cause mischief.
Concur with the previous poster who felt the SSA had enough resistance for good control. If I'm sufficiently afraid of something to need to point a gun at it, then I'm apt to have an adrenaline dump and want more resistance than a 1.5lb target trigger. The SSA handles that aspect nicely.

I'm a big Geissele fan. Here's my video review of three Gessele triggers and a KAC, where I attempt to show the take-up, second stage and break, over-travel and reset:

By three methods we may learn wisdom: First, by reflection, which is noblest; Second, by imitation, which is easiest; and third by experience, which is the bitterest. - Confucius
I have to go with the crowd here....I too had a standard LPK trigger that was just fine but the 12# pull got old real fast. I went with an SSA and will never have another trigger in any AR.
I sent my stock CMMG trigger for some work to Jay who posts here as JEmirzian. I have asked the moderators for permission to give my impressions of his trigger job. I didn't want to step on any toes as far as industry sponsors or that sort of thing. If I receive permission I will try to post a short review. I certainly don't have near the experience that many on here do but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night.
Just installed my new Geissele SD-3G in an Umbrella Corp lower and it is smoking. Definitely a two-stage, but the stages happen so quickly that it's only discernable if you're paying close attention. Very crisp trigger pull and the perfect weight for a combat rifle - I don't care what anyone says. The trigger pull would be light enough for precision work and can be staged with practice, unlike some would lead you to believe. But's it's also light with a quick reset so accurate rapid fire seems like it would be a cinch. With proper weapon control and understanding of the trigger, I don't think doubles would be an issue. Very glad I bought this trigger.
Edit: Have G2Ss, SSAs, and an SSA-E in my other rifles. This one is very different. I'm a fan of both.
