I originally posted this in another thread but didnt want to thread drift too far so....
I would like to know if anyone has run into this:
I ordered 2 barrels and got them in at roughly the same time.
One a DD 14.5" middy LW barrel. The other a BCM 14.5" middy standard.
14.5 being the key 'word' here.
As I looked at them side by side the DD barrel actually looked shorter. Standing each other up on the barrel extensions the DD was definitely shorter.
This got me thinking. So the first barrel to be mounted was the BCM. As per the ATF guideline:
......I measured the total length with a crushwasher and Battlecomp 1.0 screwed on. Total length was 16.3 inches Yep with a standard BC and the BCM barrel I am ATF legal after pinning. I reinserted the rod and used a second measuring tape and got the same measurements.
