Newb question about Rem 700 scope base

Bought my first bolt action the other day, a Remington 700 SPS AAC-SD in .308 and am needing a scope base. Looking at Seekins or Nightforce 20moa. Was set to order a Seekins but on their pull down menu it asks if you need #6 screws or #8 screws. Looked in the owners manual and it tells me jack squat. The Nightforce doesn't mention anything about coming with any screws but I would assume it would have to.
Also, this is a short action correct?

    quoted from above post

"YOU NEED 6-48 SCREWS FOR A STANDARD REMINGTON 700 ACTION! The AAC-SD uses a standard Remington Action with holes for 6-48 screws."

Yep, 6-48 for a stock action. 8-40 if you want to rethread it.

I just ordered the Nightforce 20MOA base and should have it soon.
