I think rsilvers said that bbq paint is somewhat brittle. I'd guess that you could probably afford a fresh coat each range trip however.

I have flat black Norrells on my M42000 Mod 07 right now. I haven't shot it much with it on there but it's easy to respray if it does in fact burn off.

I would say Duraheat or NIC Cerakote
