Yes Krylon is a poor choice to paint a barrel with, nevermind a suppressor

Not sure if I say, "Thanks" or what...?

Is the BBQ specific, high heat stuff made by Krylon, included in this admonishment, or...??

Do you have a useful suggestion for an alternative?

There is no harm in trying various spray paints. You can always remove it later. I have not had luck when I tried high temp grill paint. It scratched easily and was not solvent resistant. I would suggest Gunkote or Moly Resin.

I think you should leave it as is and call it the "arctic can."

Was this rattlecan? Or airbrush only? I saw the specs and thought I might try it...only see liquid available though.

    He airbrushed.

If it's available in another form, I'm not aware.

BBQ paint & so-called High Temp paint is simply what used to be referred to as 'straight enamel' - in other words, it's not acrylic.
