Sorry Shivan. Missed your reply to my comment. Hopefully this helps you out.

A good suggestion if you want to do the work yourself is http://www.lauerweaponry.com/index.c...gif&frameset=1
With the ability to stand up to 1800 degrees I'd say Duraheat it will get the job done for a suppressor.

If you don't want to use an airbrush and do it yourself there are a couple companies that will do it for you.
    Here is one http://www.larsontactical.com/id15.html

LTM will do some sick camo jobs on any weapon, mag or knife. Pretty much anything you can come up with. And offer a standing 20% off for military and LE.

Hmm. Do I see a nice solution to those black only Bushmaster ACR's? Just send it off and get the whole thing camo'd however the hell you want it.

I see little point in applying a finish that just bakes off or turns some weird color when exposed to the extreme heat that most suppressors reach relatively quickly. If it's worth doing, it's worth doing right.

Most likely South Hill Mud Color #281™.....

Did you use regular Krylon or something special?
Some special stuff they had at a speed shop, meant for engine headers. At $5.77, it's a safe test, and will probably be as durable, or more, than Krylon camo paint.

    We'll see.

    Krylon rocks

I would have painted it for you before we left that afternoon. You know that I carry an emergency can with me at all times. You never know when something will need painting.

FWIW - I shot 5 mags through my 10" LMT yesterday suppressed down here at Blackwater in about 2min and my Norrells on the can survived.

Alot of this depends on your use and what you will be doing with it.

If you want to stick it on the shelf to look pretty then yeah do whatever. I (and many of my compadre's) use Krylon:

A- it takes 2 secs to re-finish your can
B- You can change colors easilly depnds on the area you are going to

IT usually lasts about 1,500 rounds (and this is hard use, 100% supressed)

(some of this depends on the quality of you can and metal used on it)

I agree with the above, KAC can after 1700 rounds...

I was kidding, of course about wanting my stuff to look good on a shelf. If this header paint is fragile, or doesn't hold up, I will just use krylon "camo" paint from here on....
