    P7M8.

IG and F2S are knowledgable dudes with some time on the 2 way range. They are anti pistol for many reasons.

I live in Michigan and have been considering a Pistol only till i can get a SBR..

I dont think you can go wrong with some of the brands you mentioned.
Id stay away from the super short bbls for relibility issues.

The Diplomat or LWRC would be great choices. My current plans are for a LWRC 10.5 piston upper just to ensure proper function..

    Enjoy .

Sorry for Typos i have fat fingers on this phone

I have spelled it out previously many of times and so have others. Sorry if you expect me to fish for you, scale it and cook it that's not happening.

You have already made up your mind. So make your purchase and be happy.

I fully respect all input, so thanks in advance.

Thanks for the info. My plan is to ultimately get a 12.5" SBR but for now I want a 10.5" pistol for tinkering.

I'm leaning towards the POF for the NP3 finish but will look for more opinions on the LWRC and the Diplomat.

I think another consideration should be which is the best muzzle break/flash hider I can get for the shorter barrel. As always, any opinions would be welcome.

I certainly understand F2S's and IG's expertise, experience and opinions, and believe me, I know I am getting a frivolous toy here. But I want to get the best frivolous toy I can...again, thanks for the input!

I got a vote for what the mods said above.

My pistol of choice is a g19 and my ar for clearing elevators is my 6933, just saying.

Besides that i am not down with lighting off a 556 from a 7.5" barrel inside unsuppressed.

Op, do you live in an unfriendly SBR state, or are you too cheap to spend $200 on the stamp? I look at an AR pistol as a perfectly good weapon that's been handicapped. Even though is not your first line in HD it's still, to me a neutered version of a fine weapon. If its just for fun, great! But don't pretend it's something it's not. If its just something to sling lead in your buddies backyard you'll be fine with any manufacturer. Good luck to you.

Those 35% did not come from this website. You might get the answers your looking for at ar15.com.

No offense, but I will never understand anyone with this attitude towards this type of firearm.

Ok, ok, guilty as charged...most of the positive reviews come from AR15.com.

And for the other poster, I live in NC, and you're right, I should just pursue a SBR. But the impatience in me runs deep, and yes, the main purpose of this gun is to spit rounds downrange.

Patience is a virtue, and toys are for children.

ETA: apply for your stamp and shoot it as a pistol till you get it.

So shooting is only supposed to be tactical and there shouldn't be any fun in it? Again, I can shoot any and every AR rifle and don't need to own one because I can merely get it out of one of my buddies safes. I don't need to own or train with one. This is recreational.
