And, with that, we will now leave any LWRC forum drama (be it real or imagined) aboard their forum. Do not drag it here behind you, or the choice as to whether or not to post about it will be made FOR you.

Got gripes about the company, the product, delivery of said product, and related matters, within the boundaries of our rules...? Peachy-keen.

Gripes about another forum and how it's run....? Take it to your choice in clergy, or counselor, or to the gypsy-lady that reads your palm.

We've got enough Sharks vs. Jets gender-nonspecific interpretive dance-fights as it is, without anybody dragging folks back and forth across the internet due to a "...look what they're saying about us over THERE....!" border-incursion.

We realize that you have many choices when it comes to bankrupt airlines and online time-disposal, so "Thank You" for choosing M4C. You are now free to move about the cabin....

I gave up over a year ago discussing LWRCI as it was a complete waste of time, you end up arguing with folks that have never even spent time behind the guns they are pissing on. They are simply parroting what they read on a forum, (possibly this one in this case) adding to the BS that is out there about LWRCI.

The hate here stems from some stupid shit (shilling) that the old company did in the early days of the old company. It was apparently SOP for the company for whatever dumb ass reason. What they were doing was wrong, they got caught doing it repeatedly and got called out on it. Some people haven't moved on from it, which is fine, but it has nothing to do with the current quality of the rifles being built today or the company behind them.

The problem with all of that, is that the company and rifles that are being built today, don't even resemble the previous company or the original rifles from years back. LWRCI is building outstanding rifles and has been doing so for a while. They are a company that is doing a hell of a job bringing quality, well thought out rifles and products to the market place. People SHOULD know this and they should learn about it here on m4c IMHO.

That said, the LWRCI fanboys on TOS almost balance m4c out They bring rabid fanboy to a whole new level, and that is saying a lot considering the LaRue posse over there.

I've never really understood the whole fanboy BS on forums. I've owned, or own damn near all of them and I simply look at them as being quality rifles and companies. It doesn't matter if it is Colt, Noveke, LMT, LWRCI, LaRue, BCM, DD, KAC, FN, HK etc, you are buying a quality rifle, plain and simple. I don't get the whole emotion thing over brands...

... and Colt, if you're listening, check out your competition and copy them if you have to, but please bring some new products to market that can actually compete with the companies listed above.

Well, another week is almost gone. I've heard nothing further about IC's being shipped to dealers this week. Have any of the LWRC customers, employees, contractors, or forum moderators on the M4Carbine forum heard anything further? The silence is deafening.

    IC Update

Obviously none of the first 500 IC's will ship this week. The good news is that at least some of them are either painted or are being painted now and are forecast to ship next week. I'll believe it when I see it.

I have been on that forum for a long time, it definitely does not have the same type of membership we have, but their people are loyal to the product. Regardless of the forums population, I have to imagine that if there were forums in the time of the XM15 all of these same conversations would be ongoing (note I'm not speculating or insinuating that this product is or has a chance to replace anything).

Honestly I would try one out the (M6IC) except for a few things, they change their tech to much, I'm only really drawn to its outward appearance the tech is not a draw, OH THE COST, The cost is a huge detractor!

I've been watching this thread since it started and wanting to post since I saw the crap about "taking the wind out" of people's sales.

I saw this thread as a place where frustrated current/potential clients of LWRC that have waited a very long time for a promised product and are getting the run around could discuss the situation. Obviously since I am one of the 500 waiting I think LWRC has a great product, I would have bought something else (at the time, now of course if I could buy another high end gun from close to MSRP I would) if I didn't think so. I have shot the LWRC M6A2 and have handled the REPR, pistol, SPR. They are beautiful guns, great finish, and do shoot much cleaner than DI guns (after a few hundred rounds through my buddies lwrc the BCG was cleaner than 60 rounds through another friends DD).

what I find frustrating, and insulting (probably the feelings of the other IC guys) is the fact that the company feeds us shit about the situation and obviously doesn't care about civilian clients. Look, from a business perspective they have made good choices, government contracts, especially big ones, are better than civilian clients. they are guaranteed sales and probably at premium prices. They develop relationships, and promise years of parts purchases as well. LWRC through their actions, and if you read it the way I do, through their statements, has made it clear that their first and basically only priority at this point is making government entities happy. Where does a piddly little 500 rifle order end up? on the extreme back burner.

I think most guys have a BS meter, and anybody that is around long enough has experienced listening to somebody talk without saying anything. It doesn't take long for the whole IC situation to make a regular person (meaning not a high volume >250k LWRC dealer/employee/moderator/fanboy) call Bull*&^t.

-rifle was shown at SHOT 2012, is not ready a year later but they were able to develop and deliver pallets (apparently) of a new? platform to Saudi Arabia?
-there is a "part delay" blamed late in the game, apparently the unnamed part is completely unique to the 5.56 IC since if it were something compatible with the ambidextrous 6.8UCIW for instance they'd prioritize the 500 IC right?
-the wonderfully civilian client friendly $500 non-refundable even in case of draconian laws order policy
-and of course the whole "don't post about it, we'll tell you when we damn well feel like it" forum policy. Impossible to ask about the status, yet they won't provide any information.

Yet they claim they don't like the rumors that sprout up on the internet. The reason for rumors is you get guys saying they got this answer via email or this one via phone, and there is nothing solid from the company. You want to kill rumors you give solid information. You want people to not be pissed you be honest and give them straight answers. In my experience when somebody is given an honest complete answer they are more willing to cut a person or a company some slack.

    for instance:
"hey everybody we had the 500 ready, an agency/government offered us 25% more for them, we sold them. we were waiting for the handguards to be machined for us to build 500 more, we hope to have them to you by July of 2013"

would at least let guys know what went on without feeling they're being given half truths, and would let them know a realistic timeline so they could plan accordingly.

to all those guys wondering why us "idiots" are still waiting for the IC, it's because of our deposits we're locked in at MSRP. have you seen the prices out there lately? Trust me, if guys could find the other high end rifles for reasonable prices you'd see more jumping ship.

LWRC isn't the first gun company to realize they don't need the general public to love them to be financially successful, like I said we can't fault them for doing what's best for their $$$ and the direction they want to take their business. Nor should owners of LWRC not be 100% confident in the quality and ability to perform of their rifle. however, would I, even if I get my IC, wear any LWRC branded item and recommend them to my friends? absolutely not, I believe in treating people the way I'd want to be treated and I don't believe LWRC's handling of this situation is worthy of my respect (not that they should care about my opinion or respect).

If anybody does have "information" about delivery dates please post where you heard it. I tried contacting them via email a couple two three weeks ago and got a "they will for sure go out, no date expected" response. wow, talked and said nothing.

    Red
    PS
Yes I do believe that at some point they had the 500 built and they went elsewhere, and no I don't care the slightest for the opinion of anybody that is so close to the company that they think they can do no wrong. however, if you're a small volume dealer and have had other delivery problems I'd love to hear from you even offline.
