Welcome to the forum. LWRC is rightly or wrongly looked down on by the masses here. I had a M6A2 once and liked it so...I have not heard any updates on the IC, sorry.

(the best thing that could happen to this country is for LWRCi to ship all their trash overseas!)
Best part to me is they critisized the Army for "unfairly" cutting them because they did not have the capacity to feel the order. Of course LWRC said that was a lie and blah blah blah, yet here we are over a year later since the reserve of 500 IC and numerous postonements still no one has them..

In over a year they have not been able to manufacture 500!! Rifles and ship them....yet they said the Army unfairly cut them because the Army had a requirement for 1,500 a month at a minimum....the logic is amazing.

BTW welcome to the Forum. You will be waiting for a while. I hear the barrels are taking forever to make, after the first 500 they plan to cut the cerakote and sprial fluting and use standard barrels.

I took a tour of LWRCi in 2009 prior to my department buying 200 rifles. Unless they have grown tremendously in three years, I understand the shortage. The shop that I visited looked like a warehouse with about 10 assembly stations for weapons, along with office space and storage. I will say they treated us right and I had fun shooting all of their weapons. I do know they had a contract with HHS and they were getting many more weapons than we did. I'm sure with what looked like a limited production capability, the money contracts will take priority. David

From what I've read the delay is not foreign orders, but the fact that they're waiting on a part from another manufacturer. As far as the foreign contracts are concerned, they've essentially built a parallel assembly line and hired a bunch of people to take care of that without delaying consumer orders.

If you'd taken the time to read all the threads on the lwrc forum regarding the IC, and delays, etc you'd have picked up on all of this.

Preface: I own multiple rifles of different operation systems, including piston and gas. They're both great. My favorite gun is my Colt; I've got no dog in this fight.

On that note, at least let's be honest with this conversation. LWRC's production capability would have been fine for the Army contract. They're currently pumping out 2500 rifles a month for both civilians and the foreign military contracts -- easily more than the Army's requirement. They also had a sub-contractor on board to help produce even more rifles than that. They are much larger than even 2 years ago since securing 6.8SPC contracts and have, as stated above, a huge parallel operation set up to fulfill them.

The delay on the IC is, from my perspective, unacceptable. I'm one of the 500, and I'm disappointed. According to them, they're waiting on something from another manufacturer (maybe their own hammer forging machines, which they said they will be purchasing?), but regardless, it's not a good excuse when it's taken over a year. But let's keep this discussion honest, ok?

P.S.: all of this can be verified on their forums. It's worth doing your research.

Like i said over a year to produce 500 rifles and from what I have been told once they are built the new ones will not have a carakoted spiral fluted barrel, they will then come with a standard barrel.

Sounds to me like spiral fluting and cerakoting the barrel is taking to long, and again since that is what they wanted to submit to the Army they would have not had the capacity to build them.

Last week, my distributor said the latest forecast delivery has once again been pushed back, this time to the end of February. Unfortunately, I have no more confidence in this forecast delivery date than any of the preceding dozen or so dates that were missed. I've heard that the latest reason for the delay is one part that has yet to be provided by LWRC's supplier. No one is saying what this part is. I've heard rumors that delivery of the IC has been delayed indefinitely; I truly hope this isn't true. A recent posting on the LWRC forum says that LWRC received an order from Saudi Arabia for $10 million worth of rifles per month for six months. Since current wisdom is that the original IC delays were due to a large order from a foreign military, I hate to think what effect a huge order from Saudi Arabia would have on the IC delivery.

Howdy and welcome to the forum. I have some honest questions for you.

    1. Why can't you discuss the delay on the LWRC forum??
    2. Why are waiting in line for an LWRC product?

    1. Every IC thread started on the LWRC forums turns into a troll-filled ragefest, and rightfully so, so they made a "no more IC threads" policy until there's news on the rifle.
    2. Because, at this point, it's the only rifle I can get right now at or below MSRP (if it ever freaking ships) due to placing the order before all this madness started. If I were able to procure a nice, switchblocked Noveske Afghan or Light Carbine, I'd probably cancel my order.
