Yeah, LWRC isn't unique in this debacle. It happens everywhere throughout the industry, with my most recent experience being the SWFA 1-6x. This isn't a reason, in my opinion, to stop buying LWRC if you otherwise find value in their customer service and firearms.

Their only mistake was announcing a release date at all. They should just follow the Magpul example and not announce until a few weeks before release when a bunch have already been built. None of this shitstorm would've happened in that case and we'd all be grateful for a great new release.

I doubt they wont supply it. FWIW its a very good idea to check into the status of your order. Find out the order number from your dealer and contact lwrci to see whats what.

Perhaps I should have said "haven't" supplied rather than "won't". But after 15 months of waiting, "haven't" seems a lot like "won't".

"What's what" is that, even after waiting over a year for the IC's to go into production, the production rate is ridiculously low. According to LWRC, the first IC's shipped April 12, 2013. It's now been five weeks since they started shipping, and the highest serial number I've heard about being delivered is 152. That's a production rate of only 30 rifles per week!

According to LWRC, they shipped 10,000 6.8's from January to the beginning of May 2013. That's a production rate of about 580 rifles per week!

So what's the deal? If they can produce 580 rifles per week for their middle eastern customers, why can't they do the same for their U.S. customers? At the current production rate, it will take over four months to produce the first 500 IC's.

I wish most would follow this, however many like to see what kind of interest they will have in a design before investing into production. Ruger and Taurus are infamous for this.

Beautiful looking rifles for sure, anyone know if LWRC has finally fixed the problem with springs breaking (mainly the op-rod spring)? I've never owned an LWRC, but reading reports of springs breaking is/was the deal breaker for me, otherwise seems like they've got a pretty decent product once it hits shelves...

They switched to a flat wire spring which helped a bunch. Still though i keep 2 of em as spares for each rifle.

It's my understanding this is an ongoing issue, even after the design change...

Okay, I can understand the frustration you guys endured after putting deposits down on an IC then having to wait damn near 2 years for it. I can understand the annoyance felt after hearing the release date pushed back time after time. I sympathize with your plight. But guys, you put your money down on a rifle not even available at the time, via a dealer. The dealer had/has your cash, not LWRC. It seems your angst is misplaced.

A posting on the LWRC forum indicates that IC serial number 217 has been delivered. That brings the average production rate since they started shipping on April 12 to 36 rifles per week. This is pitiful in comparison with LWRC's claim of having delivered 580 6.8 rifles per week for the first four months of the year! If the 15 months of delay after delay in producing the IC isn't enough, this absurdly low production rate is further evidence that, in LWRC's eyes, military contracts come first, second, and third, including military contracts for foreign governments like Saudi Arabia and Jordon, and U.S. civilian customers come dead last.

LWRC might produce a great rifle. I don't know, since I've yet to own one. If they do, and U.S. civilian consumers are willing to put up with LWRC's poor customer service, then more power to them. I just hope that potential new customers who are thinking about purchasing an LWRC rifle will benefit from our experience and be very cautious in their dealings with this company. Never believe what LWRC tells you. Never believe a forecast delivery date. And certainly never listen to the fan boys who dominate the LWRC forum with company supporting propaganda.

As for the LWRC distributors, they are just middle men. The honest ones are burdened with the same problem as the U.S. civilian customers. LWRC broke promise after promise, and the IC deliveries are still only trickling in a few at a time. I know they'd love to fill all of their old IC orders, but they can't deliver a rifle that LWRC hasn't yet produced.
