    Knights Armament sr15 selector question

I have a Knights SR15 11.5 sbr. My question is my selector goes 45 %
Of the way into safe without being charged. Knights says this is normal but it feels funny going most of the way like it is rubbing or cutting or something. It is just not smooth. it does have a positive stop at 45% though .Does anyone else have this?

I'm a little confused by what you are descrbing, what do you mean by "into safe without being charged"?

The weapon shouldn't go into safe if the hammer isn't back.

When the hammer is back, I haven't noticed what you are mentioning with either of my 2 SR15 lowers.

Yes when the hammer isn't locked down the selector goes almost half way to safe. I know this is abnormal for a non Knights sr15 but they told me this is normal for an SR15 because of their 2 stage trigger and selector. I sent it in to Knights and they replaced the trigger and selector and when I got the lower back it still does this. They said its normal. I didn't notice it at first maybe you over looked it. It wont go all the way into safe just way more than a normal rifle. No it has never been forced into safe when it wasn't cocked.

Well if KAC says its normal why are you worrying about it?

Ok, I understand the issue now.

When I get home, I will check both of mine and get back to you.

Thank you. It feels very weird to me as it is sliding toward safe. Like it is dragging on something.

This is what I get with my SR-15. A little movement should be fine.

As long as it goes bang when I tell it to, that's all I'm going to concern my self with. I'm sure the guys down at Knights made sure it was OK.

Mine seemed to do that at first but now it goes way further.
