So it basically doesn't come with sights then, that sucks.
I find it hard to believe so many now care about stampings. These markings never mattered much to many on this site when Colt stopped putting LE on the sides while Colt selling everyone a complete rifle but now they put an "M" on there and market it in a gimmicky package name, KAC or Troy (anyone's guess which you get) add on components, while leaving the carry handle off
the damn thing ... I'm questioning this new mantra.
What happened to the original no BS colt that comes as a complete serviceable rifle right out of the box? Was that too easy or too difficult? Strange and very Barbie-dollish of Colt. Almost like Colt is making purses for women.

It does come with sights and I wouldn't call it anything but good to go right out of the box. For a 50-meter zero, mine needed one click left for windage and no elevation adjustment.
My wife saw it and did not want it, therefore it is not a purse.
Colt used to be very protective of the "M4" designation and at one time they actually tried to trademark it, but lost out in a lawsuit to Bushmaster (IIRC). Since many people associate "Colt M4/M4A1" with military weapons, it was probably a decent marketing move to stamp it on their civvie rifles.
Poor quality pic but the sights are in evidence. Maybe some were shipped without sights; that seems weird if it happened. Different model maybe?

I'm a noob and have yet to understand the fascination regarding "Roll Marks" - so what do I not understand?
Thanks!
Certain rollmarks imply quality, status, or a "coolness" factor.
