Thanks Grant..I just didn't want to go butchering up the sling loop but, I see where the pins can get punched out.

I just did this and you only need to punch one of the pins out and it will hinge open. Also don't be me and not protect/cover your rifle while punching the pins free. Mine is still not talking to me about a beauty mark I gave it

Grant, has Colt changed MSRP on these, and what will you be charging when supply catches up?

Not knocking the MBUS, but I don't care for them all that much. I would much rather see a Troy or similar sight. I think the cleaning kit should stay intact as well.

So I think a lot of people will like this option (along with the 30rd PMAG).

Also a good option as well.

Based upon what I believe is the 2013 rifle MSRP list that Gunsamerica posted in one of their stories, the 2012 MSRP and the 2013 MSRP are the same: $1155.

A few other MSRP's for new models:

    The new AR15A4: $1270
    AR15A4 with Magpul furniture: $1304
    AR6720LECAR Commando clone: $1468
    AR6520TRI retro Commando clone: $1223
    LE6900 Light Rifle: $899

In my 2013 Colt price sheet, suggested retail (set by Colt) is $1155.

If the price on the 6920 stays the same I'm glad I started my herd of ponies when I did then. With the parts they are "removing" and the parts they are "adding" it appears their bottom line (and not the customer) wins.

    Such is life.

If I am not mistaken, this model has both the Piston and DI variants, right?

That would be the 6940 with Colt's monolithic upper receiver.
