The new setup looks good. I like to have the removable carry handle. I switch back to it from time to time. Most guys probably just take it off and never use it. So I can understand them not caring whether they get one or not.

This is where I'm at. Both of my LE6920s I have removed the carry handle as I like having optics on my rifles. I'm not a fan of the mbus, but I can see why Colt put it on there. They're trying to keep prices as low as possible. I'm fine with new Colts only coming with 1 pmag and the mbus, I never use the junk ass cleaning kits or sling anyhow.

Does anyone actually ever carry their rifle by the carry handle? I know I never carried it by the "handle", does anyone else?

As a matter of fact, yes. As a pilot I carried several XM-177/CAR 15 over the years which had fixed carry handles. Used no slings most of the time so it was a convenient way for toting it to and from the aircraft.

Cleaning kit should stay. I've used the rod to punch a case out as well.

I would've liked for them to keep the cleaning kit and 2 x 20rd mags. Glad mine was a 2012 edition.

I like it, well mostly the practical direction Colt is going. Most would buy a 6920, then throw away half the rifle (previous butt stock, carrying handle and hand guards) anyway. Like others have said, a troy rear stock would have been more desirable, as well as the old A1 pistol grip, would have given it's current rendition a more out of the box usability.

No. I don't and it should be never be done since you're gonna be flagging everyone around you.
