DDLES- Leaving customers out to dry

Well I'm pretty pissed right now.

I have my current DDLES lower awaiting a ATF NFA Form1 SBR tax stamp and I already have all the other parts minus the extension and stock of course.

I sent my 9mm YHM ramped bolt out to ADCO to get the bottom machined to feed with the glock magazines and it came to my attention that the front of the bolt face must be machined as well or it will not clear the built in feed ramp in my DDLES glock mag lower.

DDLES will not reply to emails and they disconnected their phone anwsering machine and will not answer the damn phone.

I have no way if knowing the machining specs so I can pass it on to ADCO while my bolt is there.

THIS IS YOUR WARNING. DDLES HAS NO CUSTOMER SERVICE. ONCE YOU BUY YOU ARE ON YOUR OWN.

Just got off the phone with ADCO. They answered the phone after one ring and were very professional. They said they have had a DDLES lower in house and know how to machine the bolt face and bottom and have not had any customer issues with the bolt contacting the feed ramp.

So there you have it. I will update this thread when the bolt returns.

I would still steer clear of DDLES for the time being. We all know all firearms related businesses are EXTREMELY busy in this current legislative climate but that is no excuse to terminate contact with new and existing customers.

No sir, this is your warning, start buying from known good manufacturers and dealers.

I know it sucks, but deal with decent places. Too many people are getting screwed right now buying crap and paying high prices.

When was the last time you heard someone say legitimately that they were burned by G&R, ADCO, Rainier Arms or BCM?

    Stick

Board policy mandates I state that I shoot for BCM. I have also done work for 200 or so manufacturers within the firearm community. I am prior service, a full time LEO, firearm instructor, armorer, TL, martial arts instructor, and all around good guy.

I also shoot and write for various publications. Let me know if you know cool secrets or have toys worthy of an article...

You mean it will not be open for the happy ending, and that they are the best place to buy from ever?

I believe they specialize in 9mm AR's and make a lower specifically to run with Glock mags..

I've been tinkering with the idea for the past year or so of assembling a 9mm AR for cheaper training but, didn't know what route to take. DDLES was definitely one of the ones I considered so, I'll be following this thread to see how it all turns out.

    Woah there Stickman.

I bought my lower BEFORE asshole shot up the school. I DO deal with Rainier & BCM. I've been buying from RainierArms since they opened. In fact I'm about to place my 4th order in 3 months with Rainer today.

When I ordered the lower they(Double Diamond Law Enforcement Supply) were the only manufacture that actually had a working glock 9mm magazine AR15 lower.

I'm trying to warn others that are looking at this platform to beware of DDLES as once you buy, you are on your own. I didn't come here for a lecture on who to buy from. I know who the BEST are and I buy from them regularly.

DDLES- Leaving customers out to dry

DDLES, man what a pain. I ordered a lower from them Jan 2 with the custom bolt and a 7.2 barrel that was in stock. I have tried to contact them and have had the same results, they're CS really is horrible. No phones, no answer to emails.

I think DDLES makes a great product, I have shot one before but after this experience with them I don't know if I would recommend them to anyone else. You can have the greatest product ever but what really represents your company is your CS. They should at least be putting updates on their site about where they are in completing orders or items.

Whats really bad is they charge you from the get go, I'm $750 in I haven't received a single part and can't get a freaking return email.
