    Question Colt LE6920 (2013 Edition)

Just got mine at walmart, for about $1050. It hit the sweet spot for price range VS quality, and well it is pretty darn near what I deployed with. I got this to better my skills and become a better shooter than the twice a year on the range "Ready, Shoot, and Fire".

Now starts the real path of my journey, my primary was the CCO (Aimpoint Comp M2) and it handled well and lasted 13 months of desert life and gave me a expert at the range each time, but this wasn't using my own money it was the Armys. Was wondering since this had been dubbed the more Professional M4 Reference Site on what people opinions are for a solid scope and to help me get through the fog of war deciding Red Dot (CCO) vs Magnification (ACOG) type scopes out there... maybe even suggestions for both types for Best Bang for the Buck since we all (sadly) do have to budget these days and value is a hard thing to come-by.

I'd get the Aimpoint C3 and the mount of your choice. The aimpoint pro is a good deal too, but if you end up wanting a taller (lower 1/3) mount, the math is better by getting the C3.

The micros are NICE! Not as cheap though. I can tollerate the bulk difference for the price difference.

I really like the Micros, personally. I didn't really expect to, after running CompM4s and -M3s for years. So if you're thinking about running one, I would give them a swing before buying.

Otherwise, I think markm's advice is pretty solid.

Unless you have a specific reason to run a magnified scope, I would stick with an Aimpoint.

I mean the CompM2 I was still engaging 300m any miss was on me. Anything farther Id guess a Magnify (ACOG) would be needed I presume.

Micro-T and C3... What are the prices and availabilities (vendors) since GUN CRAZE 2013 kicked off?

Don't rule out HD7 if you are on a budget.

    Grant,

Not to get too off topic, but I thought the R-1 had been discontinued a while back. Are these NOS, or did AP bring them back?
