Eotech EXPS 2-0 qd mount adjustment.

I have a quick question regarding my eotech exps 2-0 with the integral qd mount. Upon initial install, after firing I've noticed that the optic slowly shifted rearward slightly on the rail after a few mags due to recoil. Every subsequent range trip, I've tightened the mount a click at a time. I think I've got it pretty tight on there now, but it now takes quite a bit of force to close the qd lever. Any risk of damaging the upper and/or mount due to it having to be so tight?

    It'll be fine.

Conventional wisdom is that it should take as much oomph to open that lever as it does to pop the tab on a beer can to open it.

That's a guideline, however, not something that came down Mt Sinai on stone tablets. If you can still open/close the thing by hand, you should be fine. If you get to the point that you need tools to pry it open or press it closed, something's up with the mount or the rail.

Yes, I should've been more specific. I was under the assumption it was still operational with one hand...

I can open and close it by hand, but it takes a whole lot more force to open the lever than a beer can. Mount looks fine. It's on my Daniel Defense m4v5 so I'd assume the rails are in spec.

Mine loosened up after awhile & I had to tighten it up a bit. A firm snap of the QD is nothing to be worried about.
