Its in an Aimpoint Pro mount on a M&P 15/22 that been sitting in my vault for quite a while due to ammo scarcity. The problem is when I powered on the switch, it pushed inside the housing and remained stuck inside and now unusable. Oh well, time to give Vortex an email. I did like this sight for 22lr while it was operating correct. My 15/22 will now be getting an Aimpoint.

Update: Sent my SF in for repair last week and got it back repaired with a new battery in it about six days later. I talked to them last fall and they sent me a free winter cap and some lens covers. Great CS Dept.

I have had my strikefire on my Smith&Wes 15-22 for about 2 years now. I have had no issue with the optic at all. Someone mentioned that they lost zero from their lens caps, and that sounds like they did not torque their scope ring down tight enough.

One of the things to love about Vortex though, is their optics come with a fully transferable lifetime warranty.

For the value of the optic you get one hell of a deal IMHO.

I've had some good experience with their CS department as well. Long story short, my AR took a 6' drop onto a hard surface which landed on its left side directly on the charging handle latch/the side of the StrikeFire where the button interface is. The CH latch got bent to hell and the button interface on the SF got dislodged from the optic's body. I boxed up the optic in the factory box and sent it in to Vortex for repair. A week later it showed up at my door in like new condition. Threw it back in the mount (Vortex), torqued it down, and I'll be damned it was still zeroed.

I've got the Vortex mounted on my personal AR. At work our issued Colt M4's wear factory irons. But given how my rifle hit the deck and the fact that it was more or less a direct impact on the side interface, there was no way it would have survived. I give two thumbs up to Vortex's CS department for standing behind their product 100%. Easily the best warranty experience I've had with anyone.

I have a Strikefire on a 15-22 and the Vortex mount was sloppy on the rail. I replaced it with an Aimpoint QRP II and all is well. I dislike the oddball battery and controls, but it's fine for a plinker.
