I was going to make the same suggestion. I went with the fusion mount to get a Surefire X300 mounted at the 12:00 position over a suppressor. My SBR is a Noveske 8.2" with a 7" rail, not much rail to work with. The Fusion system is on the pricey side but it offers a lot of versatility.

Now, if they will just ship the damn thing already.

The mossie mount that goes on a Troy folding buis can work too.

I like the TLR-3 on the inside... though I haven't really punished it. The height/offset is good for me. I wish there were more compact options like this.

E.W. - it's coming soon! I promise, this panic buying has even the indirectly connected vendors back-ordered. You will have in 3 weeks or less. Thanks!

I've tried the 6P and G2X, in both the Gear Sector off-set mount and Thorntail mount (non-SBR version).

Both lights feel too bulky on the upper to me.

The Thorntail allows for increased rail space, but adds to the overall length. And Obvious less than ideal conditions right up near the muzzle.

The Gear Sector doesn't increase the overall length but eats up rail/hand space (with these 2 lights).

I'm thinking about the M300A or the M600C.

I'm also interested in maybe a QD setup in a Larue mount.

Anyone have some experience with these on an SBR setup?

    Thoughts? Suggestions?

    I appreciate the advice!
M300a in a LaRue mount on a 10.5" Noveske. Works great. Have 280 lumen Malkoff module, but prefer the OEM head for many tasks.

I would like to resurrect this 2 year old thread as its the only one I could find related to SBR and a weapon light.

I currently have a BCM 11.5 which I have ran a Surefire X300U ahead of the front sight at 1200 hrs. I have very long arms (shirt length 38/39) and like to run my hand toward the end of the hand guard however the light at 1200 pushes the front sight back (was running a DD fixed front…recently went back to my MagPul flip).

I also like the idea of a QD light as I can remove it for extended day drills or when not needed.

I have been toying with the idea of the Frank Proctor set up with the Streamlight ProTac 1L and his mount which tucks the light well into the confines of the hand guard (BCM KMR) but its not a QD.

I have an array of lights (X200, X300, X300U, SF Fury and a variety of 1" Eagle Tac lights).

While 1200 hrs location seems to be the best of what lights I have…..it does push my hand back and I may just have to eat it and deal with it.

is there a mount that will get a small light such as an SF M300 or a ProTac 1L tight to the hand guard that is QD at 1100 or 1300 hrs?

Is there another light set up I need to look at?

    thanks in advance

I like the Surefire Defender with offset just fine. I also don't mind the X300 in front of front BUIS.

The Larue QD mount for the Surefire x300 lights are not so Bueno. They sit way to high.

You could keep the wrench in your pistol grip to remove the keymod light mount or you might try the x300 at 3 o'clock, I really like that on a short quad rail. The x300 is cool, poop it off the rifle and it slap'er on dat glock!
