    Firing issue I had today

Colt LE6920 with Colt 20 round mags and PMC ammo. I went to the range today to mainly fire my M&P .40 but brought along my AR. So the issue I had on a colt magazine fully loaded is it didn't fire a total of 5 times. The sequences went something like this... Bolt locked back, mag in, bolt forward, boom! Then next squeeze it just went click, wtf? Released the mag and chamber checked and a round was chambered. Hmmm ok. This same sequence happened 4 more times then I was able to fire the rest without a problem. I just brought 20 rounds to zero in my buis so I couldn't load another mag. Any ideas? I can only think the bolt wasn't all the way forward. But why?

Any marks on the primer? On the non firing chambered rounds did you hit the FA and notice any movement before pulling CH?

Not that I can notice by pushing the FA.

Did you clean it first and check it? Did you lube it properly beforehand?

Yes I clean it almost religiously. There's probably not even 500 rounds through any part of it yet.

Lube? You mentioned you cleaned it, but did you lube it. Have you taken it apart in any way? Modified hammer spring or improperly installed hammer spring?

This may be a problem that can't be diagnosed over the Internet.
