Yes I use Hoppes elite. I haven't taken the lower apart at all. Everything minus my hand guard, optic, and buis is from the factory.

I see that lube could be the culprit mentioned a couple times. What part of the bcg or upper need more attention? I'm about to use froglube tomorrow.

After it clicked and you pulled the charging handle to check the chamber, did it extract and eject the unfired round?

Next time you go shoot it, tap the forward assist after each shot and observe the carrier for any forward movement.

ETA: emphasize lube on the bolt body, gas rings, cam pin, and carrier rails.

Dissemble the bolt carrier and bolt. Coat pretty much everything in lube.

Yes it extracted the unfired round and i loaded it back in the mag to be fired next. I used the assist the first 2 times and didnt see the bolt move forward at all. I've never had to use the FA before. Maybe I wasn't hitting it hard enough?

If it extracted the round, the bolt was all the way forward.

Try cleaning it again and then shooting it. Maybe there was some crud in it. It won't hurt to try anyways.

    Good luck, NYH1.

Would disassembly be necessary? I don't see why you couldn't just dunk the whole damn thing in a bucket of lube and hang it up for awhile to let the excess drip out. Is that a bad idea? What about dousing your whole BCG in CLP without disassembling it? Good enough usually?
