    Who Makes LW 20" Barrels?

A buddy of mine wants to build a retro rifle. I'm more into carbines, so I have no idea who makes the correct barrel profile. Any and all help is most appreciated.

    Many thanks!

Your best solution is to buy a Colt barrel.

Where would he get it? I don't recall seeing anything online from Colt for selling AR15 barrels.

    DEZ Arms offers a 20" 1/7" non chromed A1 profile barrel. I built a 603 clone with one, it's a nice shooter.

R: Who Makes LW 20" Barrels?

I think Green Mountain offer LW 20inch barrels. They also make barrels for Colt.

Excellent, thanks! During my Internet searching, I came across Green Mountain and was going to ask whether they were any good, so this is very good news.

    I'll let my buddy know.

if all else fails you could get a regular barrel and have it turned down. a buddy of mine was building an SP1 replica, bought a DD barrel and sent it to ADCO. they turned it down and reparked in that Colt "gray" color. looks and shoot great...
