    Anyone else like pump guns?

    Looking good.
    I like lever guns.
    But I love pump guns.

I learned to shoot using an 1890 22 WRF that was my dad's and his dad's.

I have been looking for a .357 pump for ages.

    I finally found a Thunderbolt .357.

Unfortunately, I am having trouble with rounds on occasion popping out under the lifter and jamming it up. I have not found a good OAL that will not do this at all, just some less than others.

It may be going back, but what a shame it's not reliable.
It's a good companion to an 8 shot 608 revolver.

Rem7600 in 35 whelen Leupold 2-7 Vx-2 in qr base. Semi's aren't legal for hunting in PA so the "Amish Machine Gun" is very popular! Lot's of knock down power and handles like a shotgun

So you're the one with all the Timberwolves! I admired them back in the early 90's but, being a poor student, could not afford one. Haven't seen one since. I've got a great lever gun in .357 but I think one of those pumps in that caliber would be great fun!

Not all. But I have missed out on a couple of them due to seller (over)pricing. Was trying to 'corner the market' by owning appox 1/10th of 1% of total production. Still working on that one.

I never did get a chance to grab a Timberwolf.

I did not even lay hands on this Thunderbolt after years of not coming across one.

I hope I get it sorted out good.

I actually at one time had this crazy thought that, in the name of standardization, I would ditch pretty much everything and replace it with:

    Remington 7600 in .308

    Remington 7600 in .223

    Remington 870 12 ga 28" bbl

    Remington 870P 12 ga

    Remington 572 Fieldmaster

That would pretty much have everything I do with/need a gun for covered (other than CCW) with nearly identical weapons manipulations.

I never went through with it though.

It was just one of my many weapon thought experiments.

These are notorious for malfunctioning. The CASS crowd out here tried to get many of those Taurus rifles to work for many years with no luck. The Uberti ones are supposed to be much more reliable. Good luck with it and if you plan to keep it buy parts. I think Taurus stopped making them.

And I like pumps as well. I have a converted 742 and a Savage 170.
    I like franks & beans
