Mine showed up today. This thing is a tank. I don't think I could break it if I tried. The glass is crystal clear and the illumination is awesome. On the highest setting it is so bright it blooms like an Aimpoint. The reticle is thin enough so it doesn't obscure a small target, yet it is think enough to pick up quickly.

    So far pros: everything

    Cons: weight

This scope has so much going for it the weight is barely an issue worth mentioning.

    Vortex Razor Gen 2 1-6x

I have one, used it for a month long training block. Thing held zero and just straight performs . Could not be happier with it. Great optic

I recently got my HD gen II, replacing a Meopta 1-4 in a LT104 mount, and I found that I didn't get to place the sight properly due to the eyerelief being longer. I replaced my A1 length stock with an A2, but I still was lacking a bit, so I had to move it one "notch" out of the upper. I've come to the conclusion that I need a SPR-E mount to get the proper eyerelief for me, since I shoot NTCH.

Haven't unfortunately had the time to shoot with this scope other than sighting it in, but my impressions so far is positive. The FOV is extreme, I shoot thumb over bore, and on 1x my thumb makes a shadow in the lower parts of the glass...

Curious if anyone knows how big the dot is on the Vortex? I keep reading it's daylight bright but the dot seems small at least in pics, how quick is it to pick up?

As far as actual hours, no. But I left mine on level 6 for 3 weeks and it still had plenty of juice left.

That's encouraging, what level does the dot become daylight bright and how big/quick is it to pick up?

I would say it is daylight bright starting on setting 6 for precision shots on 6x when you don't want any blooming to disrupt your sight picture.

For running it on 1x as a red dot I would say level 9-11(max) are all bright enough to run it fast and to pick it up easily.
