So that must be why this exists!

And I thought one 1911 was a heavy chunk to carry.

You can. Drop a round into the chamber while the slide is locked, then drop the slide on a loaded mag, and it'll load you a second round. It's great.

Friend of mine carries w/ nothing in the chamber. He's just not comfortable with it ready to go, even with safeties in place. He says it's real easy to just chamber a round when you need it. Can't argue with him, so I just let him be and wish him luck.

I have talked to folks who were forced by regulation, to carry a pistol with the chamber empty on duty. One in particular explained that while serving as an MP in the Army, he was required to carry a 1911 with an empty chamber with only 5 rounds in the magazine. To a man, they all said it left them feeling naked and vulnerable and they hated it.

I also talked to one person who is responsible for firearms training at his department. He told me the guy that the guy who made a name for himself teaching the "Israeli Style" proved to be a fraud

Then he's neither ready or trained to CCW a gun and should fix that before something ugly happens.
